West Side Pride is a vibrant, community‑driven Pride festival in Ottawa’s west end and surrounding areas. Created in 2023 to offer a more accessible, family‑friendly alternative to downtown Ottawa’s Pride events, it takes place in Alexander Grove Park, offering a grassroots celebration of 2SLGBTQIA+ life close to home.
Highlights of the event include:
A welcoming Community Fair featuring local organizations sharing resources, support services, and advocacy for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
Live entertainment throughout the day, including music performances, cultural showcases, and exciting drag shows that bring energy and joy to the stage.
A colourful, family-focused Kids Can area offering fun and inclusive activities for children of all ages.
A festive environment filled with local vendors, delicious food trucks, and strong support from community leaders and residents alike.
