Meet Michael and Lenni Frame, the new owners of Global Pet Foods on Terry Fox in Kanata! Their journey began when their own dog faced serious health issues. The support and guidance they received from Global Pet Foods made such a difference that they were inspired to acquire a store of their own and offer that same care to other pet families in the community.
“The best part of this is that we can actually help some owners make their pets more comfortable,” said Michael.
Since taking over the store, Michael and Lenni have been doing exactly that, helping pet owners navigate everything from allergies to hard-to-find food solutions. Their goal is simple: make life a little easier and more comfortable for the pets and owners. They take pride in helping families find the right products for their pets, especially in those moments when it feels like nothing else has worked.
Their commitment to community doesn’t stop there. The store regularly hosts nail clipping events with a local groomer, and every dollar raised is donated to nearby dog or cat rescues. It’s a small gesture with a big impact, and one that reflects Michael and Lenni’s values: compassion, care, and giving back to the community.
“We also regularly donate pet food to local shelters and local rescues,” said Lenni.
Most of the store’s stock is proudly Canadian, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Whether you’re dropping in for a treat or looking for advice on your pet’s specific needs, they or the lovely staff at the store are there to help, just like someone once helped them.
“It (products) gives us a lot of options for all pets… Whether it’s allergies or stomach issues or dental, we have options all across the board,” said Michael.
“We love it when customers come in just to say hi and bring their pups in just for a treat… That is just the best part of it,” said Lenni.
