A message from KidsCanSwim:
Hello Families,
As summer approaches, many children will soon be spending more time at pools, splash pads, cottages, camps, beaches, and other water-related activities. With this in mind, we wanted to share an opportunity from a local organization that focuses on helping children build confidence and safety skills in and around the water.
KidsCanSwim’s SwimBoost program is an intensive summer swimming program designed to help children make meaningful progress in a short period of time. Rather than attending lessons once per week, children participate in daily lessons over the course of a week, allowing them to benefit from consistent practice and repetition. This concentrated approach helps swimmers build confidence, strengthen skills, and become more comfortable in the water.
Swimming is more than just a recreational activity. It helps children develop strength, coordination, and endurance while also supporting social development, confidence, and problem-solving skills. Most importantly, learning to swim provides children with valuable water safety skills that can help keep them safer during the summer months when they are spending more time around water.
What does each SwimBoost session include?
- Five consecutive days of swimming lessons (Monday to Friday)
- One 30-minute lesson each day at the same time
- A total of five lessons in one week
- A final assessment to celebrate progress and identify next steps
- Dedicated water safety and survival skill development throughout the week
Many families describe SwimBoost as fitting an entire month’s worth of swimming lessons into a single week. The daily repetition allows children to practice skills consistently and often leads to faster progress than traditional weekly lessons.
