SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM

Every year, Kanata Central BIA is thrilled to sponsor up to 10 BIA business-hosted events that bring people together, create memorable experiences, and attract more visitors to Kanata Central.

Each selected event can receive up to $1,000 in funding, along with promotional support, event-day promotional materials, and even volunteer assistance if needed. Please note that if granted, funds must be used within the same calendar year as the application.

SPONSORSHIP PURPOSE AND INTENT

The Kanata Central BIA’s sponsorship program is designed to support initiatives that bring value to both the broader community and our local business network. Our intention is to foster meaningful partnerships that contribute to a vibrant, connected, and thriving Kanata Central. Sponsorships are offered to events or initiatives that align with our mission by enhancing community engagement, driving foot traffic to local businesses, and promoting economic growth in the area.

At its core, the spirit of this sponsorship is rooted in collaboration, business support, community-building, and shared success.

SPONSORSHIP CRITERIA

Each purchase at participating businesses earns you at least 1 stamp. For every $10 spent, you’ll get an extra stamp.

The target market of the event must be in keeping with the KCBIA’s primary focus on Kanata, Carp, Stittsville, Ottawa residents, workers and their families. The activation must engage participants already in Kanata and/or entice them to come here when they might otherwise not do so.
The KCBIA aims for a comprehensive sponsorship portfolio that has something for everyone. Partners are encouraged to focus on a specific area such as culture, art, traditional holidays, shopping, dining, sports, health care or district living.

The KCBIA does not sponsor political events or rallies, ticketed events, professional conventions or events outside of the KCBIA boundary.
The KCBIA does not financially sponsor individuals, teams or clubs or for-profit events.
The KCBIA does not enter sponsorships which may be construed as showing or encouraging any type of prejudice.
The KCBIA encourage businesses to support charitable efforts, for example a fundraising event for a local cause, or an awareness event in support of the community.

SEPTEMBER 29, 2024

Positive Movement Fitness 1K & 2K Kids Race

This event is a kids’ race designed to help them get active as they settle back into their school routines. It features a 1K and 2K race starting at Kanata Ave. & Goldridge Dr., with designated turnaround points. The event also supported a great cause, as any profits were donated to KidSport Canada, an organization that helps children access sports.

SEPTEMBER 28, 2024

Walk -The-Block

Walk-The-Block was a family-friendly event dedicated to raising concussion awareness in Canada. Participants were encouraged to bring their family, friends, and even their four-legged companions for a community walk. 

The event was presented by Love Your Brain and hosted by Pro-Action Health & performance, along side sponsorship from BIA members, including Fleming Fitness and the KCBIA as well.
